Riccardo Lausdei graduated in International Communication at the University of Milan in 2006, and he completed a Master’s Degree in Marketing for the Recording Industry in 2007 at IED-Milan. From 2017 to 2020 he lectured classes of Games Localization at the University of Bologna (Forlì) for the Laurea Magistrale in Specialized Translation. Since 2018 he is a professor of Game Localization at the University of Parma, for the Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Translation (METAV) and collaborates with different faculties and European institutes. Among these educational institutions there are the University of Pisa, the Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori Altiero Spinelli in Milan, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University Of Leeds. He organizes classes for masters, seminars, and workshops about video games and software localization. Since 2017 he is a member of an International Committee of the University of Bergamo. He works as a freelance translator since 2008, specializing in video games localization and multimedia works translation, and collaborating with different localization agencies and software houses around the world. Since 2010 he deals also with transcreation, creative translation, and copyediting, adapting advertising campaigns for international brands to the Italian market. He is specialized in the Luxury, Tech, and Food & Beverage niches. In January 2016 he co-founded NBZ Snc, a company working in the video games and app localization field, which in 2018 became the current Maneki Commando Srl. Riccardo is today the CEO and Chief Strategist of the company, which offers an integrated approach of video games localization, transcreation and training to satisfy the needs of a constantly growing market.
