The course is suited for translation, localization, adaptation and dubbing enthusiasts looking for becoming part of this specialized field through video games. The lesson plan explores any single field of localization applied to interactive works. From the translation of texts and scripts to adaptation and dubbing of different medium, the program will also include the analysis of marketing fields connected with the industry (trailers, interviews, making of, documentaries, press releases, news, premieres, etc.) and literary translation of novels, short stories and comics inspired by video games.
The course is organized in 120 hours, distributed in 3 modules focused on three different localization fields, and based on theoretical classes and practical activities.
