Fabiana Ribero Scali is an audiovisual translator and simil sync adaptor. Since 1986 she manages Text, a reality that from 1988 is specialized in translation for dubbing and subtitling. Fabiana started out as a professor of audiovisual translation in 1993, when she created and lectured for the first time some summer classes about translation for the media in London. From that time, she taught at different institutions including City University, Imperial College and UCL. Since 2019 she also lectures in Italy at Fondazione Unicampus San Pellegrino in Rimini. Fabiana teaches audiovisual translation in the Master’s Degree Course in Translation at Civica Scuola per Interpreti e Traduttori Altiero Spinelli di Milano, where she studied herself. Since 2019 she organizes seminars about audiovisual translation for the specialization course Translating Literature at FUSP, in Rimini.
